Joyce’s Project–Relishing in the Plum Fields

Joyce's afghan

I’m working on another project for a dear friend, Joyce.  This afghan is done in the garter stitch.  The yarn selected for this project in Bernat Blanket (100% polyester).  The weight is 6 which makes it super bulky.  I’m using 10.5 circular knitting needles.  I think I’m about 5/8 done.  The projected dimensions will be 60 inches by 60 inches.  I’m separating each skein by a band of solid plum.  I decided to this to add interest to this afghan and make it a bit more interesting.

Arctic Ice Blankie

IMG_1728  Another baby blanket is completed.  It was such a joy knitting this lightweight baby blanket.  It is worked in a simple garter stitch pattern.  I used Buttercream, Luxe Craft, Rainbow Boucle yarn–approximately 1.5 skeins (about 12 ounces of yarn).  The color is called Princess.  I love the pastel shades which makes me think of frozen snow cones.

I started this project on March 10 and finished it yesterday.  This blanket measures 44 inches by 45 inches.  I used size 8 circular knitting needles.  My cast on was 150 stitches.

Splashing in the Blue Surf

surf-varigated

Just completed my first craft project for 2017.  This is a knitted baby blanket done in a garter stitch.  I used three skeins of Bernat Blanket Brights (Surf Varigated).  This yarn is a 6 weight and a 10.5 oz skein. I used my favorite needles, circular 10.5.  This blanket is finished in a row of single crochet stitch in lime green.  The finished measurement is 42 x 43 inches.
