Cowboy Quilt

So, I finally finished this Cowboy Quilt.  I did all the hand quilting stitches.  It took a while but it was an enjoyable experience.

It’s Mending Saturday!

I collected pieces of clothing that needed mending. Today, I’m spending time just listening to music and mending. Some of the mending tasks includes hemming:

1. 3 pair of slacks that need to be shortened and hemmed.
2. a pair of men’s short pants that needs a hem re done.
3. a circular fall themed table cloth that is too long so it needs to cut and hemmed.
4. buttons that need to be replaced.

It’s relaxing and I am enjoying one-on-one time with our puppy.

Celebrating Autumn

I like all of the seasons, but, I think I love Autumn the most. I believe its because I am partial to all of the autumn colors–burnt oranges, burgundy, deep greens and warm browns.

So, here is a look at my Autumn decor. Hope you enjoy it.

Haitus from Sewing…

New Puppy In Our Life! Back in March of this year, we got ourselves a new puppy.  So, the hubby and I are spending time with the puppy, who is now 9 months old.  When we got our puppy she was only 12 weeks.  43 days old (2)  This is our baby girl at 43 days old.  Isn’t she adorable?  Another view Bekah cuddling  We have done so many things with her.  She has gone to puppy training classes and has passed the puppy class and the intermediate class.  She is leash trained so it makes it easy to travel about with her.  Looking forward to more road trip adventures.

She loves going places, such as pet stores and Bass Pro.  We’ve taken her to the park but because of the summer heat that was very limited.  Recently, she went on a mini road trip to Laughlin, NV.  We all stood at Harrah’s Laughlin–great hotel and casino–very pet friendly.  Along the way we stopped in at a small town called Searchlight.  Searchlight is the hometown of Senator Harry Reid.  Every where we went, people fell in love with her.
