Liebster Award

liebster_blog1 sewing lady

A special thank you is extended to Ester(Grab a Coffee) for nominating my blog for the Liebster Award.

“So what is the liebster.   it’s a way of getting blogs with smaller followings (under 300) noticed, as well as newer blogs noticed. It gives them chance to be viewed by more people. It’s said that it originates from Germany , which makes sense as one of liebsters translations in German is dearest. (Always a nice thing to be considered.)

Several things are required when nominated.  These are:

1.  Answer 11 questons asked by your nominator

2.. Post 11 facts about yourself

3.  Ask your nominee 11 questions

4.  Nominate 11 blogs (be sure to notify them)

Eleven questions asked by my nominator
.

1. What inspired you to start blogging?  I started thinking about creating a blog a few years before retiring.  I have be a craftist for at least 5 decades.  Within these years, I leared to embroider, crochet, knit, and sew.  I still dabble in these needlecrafts today.  I realized that if I did not find a way to share my creations, it may all die with me.  Hence, my blog began.

2.  Is there one thing you wish you could change about yourself, what would it be?  The thing I would like to change pertains to my health habits, in particular, exercise.  Once Ig get started on a project I sit until its completed.  I need to figure out break times that will allow me to move.

3.  If you could meet someone famous who is still living who would it be?  I’d like to meet Vanna White.  I understand she knits and crochetsand would like to know how she got started and what type of projects does she enjoys.

4.  What was the most interesting class you ever took in school?  At first I would have said Home Economics Class, as that is where I learned to crochet, knit and sew.  However, I think a basic art class was the most interesting.  I am always intriqued with color and how it is used.  Studies the colors of the great artists helps me to be creative in my pieces.

5.  What did you want to be when you were little?  I wanted to own a clothing store.

6.  I you could decorate your workspace, however, you wanted, what would your feauture color be?  Notmally, my color choice would be a form of green.  But for my sewing room we did the walls up in a pastel blue.  Window frames are white.  Floors were made of laminate walnut.

7.  If your life were a book, what would the title be?  My book would be called, “Mastery and Rising from the Ashes.”

8.  What one happy memory do you have always coming in your mind?  Sitting down with my maternal grandmother practicing my embroidery stitches making kitchen towels.  She would seat with me (chatting, drinking tea) while I sewed my dresses onver the weekend.  She was there to help whenever I got stuck.  She helped me to personalized an outfit.

9. Do you preer to read actual books or use of an Ereader?  I prefer actual textbooks.

10  If you could keep only one item from your wardrobe, what would it be?  If I could only keep one item from my wardrobe it would be an crochet-yoke peach eyelet dress.

11.  If you win some million in lottery, what would you be the first thing you’d buy?  I would buy an embroidery machine because then I could produce more little girls’ dresses.

Thank you so much for the nomination! I’m very, very flattered. I don’t actually qualify for the liebster, but I’m blushing all the same. Thank you!
