Receiving Blanket

Several days ago, hubby and I returned from a 15 day driving trip through central and northern California.  To keep busy on the long drives, I started a coral receiving blanket.  I am working it in the basketweave pattern  I love the textured checkerboard effect of this pattern.  Here is what it looks like thus far.    The textured checkerboard effect is encased in a seed stitch border.    Right now the blanket measures about 32 inches in width.  I’m about halfway through and am aiming to make it a square so the finished dimensions would be 32 x 32.
